Vision, Mission and Values
Vision
Enabling 21st Century workplaces that:
- Support and develop individual talent; and harness it productively for the widest possible good;
- Acknowledge and value individual difference;
- Treat everyone with dignity and respect;
- Recognise that work is one important aspect of life and for most people there are others which are equally important;
- Understand that we make our meaning through our interactions with others, and direct those interactions positively.
Mission
To work with employers in enabling greater harmony between work and other aspects of our lives. Enabling balanced working supports balanced living. Balanced employees are better able to give of their best both at work and in the social communities in which they operate and live.
Values
I believe that:
- All human beings are unique, rounded spirits to be treasured for their beauty and not reduced to mere units of production;
- People are resourceful and know how to make their lives work - they simply need support to access their resources;
- Focusing on the positive is always more expansive than focusing on the negative, and it builds a better future;
- We cannot build sustainable organisations and sustainable communities without first sustaining ourselves as human beings;
- The workplace should be an incubator for the human spirit (this is one of Dame Anita Roddick's that I've adopted).
I am making every effort to live a mindful, respectful, non-violent life. I invite you to travel the path with me, so that we can support each other through the challenges on the journey.
